The ADLD Foundation’s “Ask an ADLD Clinician” webinar held on December 16, 2022 provided patients and caregivers an invaluable opportunity to have their pressing questions answered by top medical experts.
Dr. Florian Eichler, a clinician, and researcher specializing in leukodystrophies like ADLD at Massachusetts General Hospital, helmed the session. He was joined by two other leading voices in ADLD – Dr. Quasar Padiath of the University of Pittsburgh and Dr. Holly Appleberry of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
During the hour-long webinar, the doctors addressed numerous topics submitted by community members, including disease progression, mutation specifics, diagnostic steps, and everyday management. Their insights and advice promise to aid patients in navigating this complex disorder.
For those who missed the live event, the recording is now available to view on the ADLD Foundation’s website. Having access to such esteemed specialists is just one way the Foundation fulfills its mission of educating and connecting the ADLD community.
Be sure to check the Foundation’s event calendar for information on future webinars and other programs. By supporting one another, we can continue making strides against this rare disease.
